The long-awaited K24Z3 swap kit is finally here. If you’re not familiar with this new option from KMiata, review our recent blog post here.
If you’re undecided if a K24Z3 swap or our original K24A2 swap is best suited to your goals, check out this comparison.
The K24Z3 Race Conversion Kit provides customers with the essential parts they need to install a K24Z3 in a 1990-2005 Miata. Note that this package does NOT include a wiring conversion harness, throttle body, or custom timing chain cover. It’s designed for racers looking to use standalone engine management and custom wiring.
For customers looking for the same straightforward installation that we’ve done on our test car, we recommend the K24Z3 Ultimate Swap Package.
This package includes:
-K series to Miata transmission adapter plate
-K series to Miata flywheel
-Machined engine mounts
-Engine mount pads
-Baffled aluminum oil pan with pickup tube
-KMiata K20 oil pump adapter
-Hydraulic clutch release bearing with clutch lines (5 or 6-speed)
-Wilwood ¾” master cylinder kit
-KMiata RWD intake manifold
-OEM intake manifold gasket and hardware
-K24Z3 upper coolant neck
-Slim flywheel dust cover
-3” downpipe with flex
-Optional: full 3” race exhaust system (order here)
Note: in order for this package to fit, a K20 Type S oil pump must be installed. Although a number of options are available for this upgrade, we recommend our K20 Type S oil pump package found here.
